for Improved Understanding of Human Disease and Drug Screening
on the International Space Station U.S. National Laboratory
RFI No. CASIS 2015-1 | RFI Issued October 7, 2014 | Due Date: November 14, 2014
The Center for the Advancement of Science in Space (CASIS) is pleased to release this Request For Information (RFI) to identify and gather information from subject matter experts and entities with experience in human disease research, disease modeling, and translational medicine that may be applied to accelerate research in disease pathophysiology, target identification, and the in vivo evaluation of novel therapeutic agents and treatments using animal models and/or cell-based models in microgravity. Based on expertise available, CASIS may issue a Request for Proposals that will provide funding for flight research on the ISS National Lab seeking to use animal or cell-based models in microgravity for human disease modeling.
